The Nye FLW Series scale is a
simple device that monitors hydraulic pressure in the main lift cylinder
of your equipment. The display converts pressure to weight - by zero-span
calibration - and indicates on the front panel.
The scale operates by
monitoring the main lift cylinder pressure with a precision pressure to
voltage transducer mounted inside the unit. A small (-4) hose connects the
unit to the lift cylinder circuit. The display is calibrated so as to
indicate 0 when there is no load and the correct weight (in any units)
with a known load applied.
The enclosure made of
3/16" A36 structural steel tubing with welded 1/4" 44W end
plates. The front panel mounts with 4 pc 1/4 UNC socket head cap screws.
The unit is designed for extreme steel-mill duty and will not be damaged
by pressure washing or direct hammer blows to the cabinet.
The front controls consist of
a simple "Off" - "Weigh" switch. Rear connections are
10-30V in and 10-30V out. The switched power out is for an optional load
holding valve.
